Inspiration Thursday: Brewing Up A Storm!

Besides it’s beautiful beaches and amazing weather, San Diego has also
labeled itself as a the craft brew capital of the West. Home of some of
the largest brew names in the industry, local craft brewers have found
the demand for their unique brews only increasing with each year. Locals
flock to North Park where there is a plethora of brewery venues to
choose from, each with it’s unique tastes and style. San Diego’s newest
addition, North Park Beer Company, hosts not only amazing brews, but an
upstairs event space with a strong sense of authenticity to it’s design.
The building itself has a rich history boasting at one time a
department store then later a martial arts center. Now the brewery hosts
a variety of local brews along with delicacies from Mastiff Sausage
Company that pair perfectly. Old school chairs and stamped metal
backdrops adorn the open space, with marble tile behind the bar and the
beer cooler. The original wooden staircase leads to the event space
upstairs, and downstairs there are replicas of the gas lighted lamps
that the city’s Gas Lamp District is named for. With such a blank canvas
to work with in the upstairs space we wanted to bring in an upscale
look to a brewery themed wedding. The team played up on the copper and
brass elements that adorned the downstairs bar, while keeping it soft
and romantic with greens and muted browns. The creation and design for
this elegant affair was developed by local Event Planner, Westway
Events. The florals were designed and provided by Double LL Designs.
Photography was provided by John Attis and VK Photography. Hair and Make
Up provided by Verve Luxe. Cake and confections provided by Eat Your
Cake Too. Rentals and linens provided by Timeless Events Services and
Rentals. Models were Janelle Garcia and Cameron Denny. Charcuterie board
and freshly prepared eats provided by Mastiff Sausage Company. With a
dream team of local vendors and such an airy and eclectic event space
the details speak for themselves in this classically styled wedding!
