Both Shannon and Andrew are in the Navy and met while in officer training in Newport, Rhode Island. Minutes after picking up the ring Andrew proposed by attaching the ring and a note to their dog, Max’s collar. They wanted their wedding to be a reflection of them in a celebration with cultural and sentimental traditions with a chic, fun, contemporary twist.
