Tabletop & Design Inspiration

  • Modern Moroccan

The Blending of rich bold colors with the softness of neutrals and the elegance of the metallic tones create a modern twist on an age old Moroccan tradition of colors and textures unique to their part of the world and brought to life in this stylishly detailed design.

  • Make Me Blush

Oversized wineglasses filled with flowers set atop gold framed mirrors. Surrounded by cadlelight, rose bowls and blush sequined table runners, coupled with gold accessories and blush and ivory linens make for a very romantic setting.

  • Coastal Expressions

San Diego skyline is booming with new and exciting buildings many of them new hotels, like the Springhill Suites San Diego/Downtown. This hotel hosts amazing views from their ceremony and reception decks. The team was inspired by the bold colors and the very modern touches this hotel has, open concrete, brightly painted walls and who can pass up the ocean views. They chose crisp yellow and cobalt blue as their key colors to coordinate also with the new property as they were designing as it were a wedding for their adorable couple Brett and Danny. They brought in colored glassware and plates and minimalist mod styled florals. They also brought in their cake with a watercolor design and custom cookies as favors.

  • Spanish Romance

The inspiration for this shoot came from the Spanish architecture and ambiance of the Rancho Bernardo Inn. The team started the day off with an indoor ceremony, and wanted to re-create the idea of a small chapel wedding. In order to do this, they created a large wooden cross, adorned it with lush greenery and white floral, and surrounded it with ample candlelight. For this, they also wanted a very traditional look for their bride, and dressed her in a gorgeous lace gown with a long cathedral veil.

The team then moved outside for the remainder of the day, and created a gorgeous Spanish inspired tablescape. They used an ornate wooden table and decided to set it in front of a gorgeous outdoor fireplace to really help set the scene. They then set each place setting with bold blue and yellow patterned dishware, a subtle white menu with soft blue water coloring, and a terracotta tile with each guest's name. In order to add a little bit more color and Spanish flair, they used Spanish tiles as coasters for all the mismatched wine glasses and water goblets. To finish off the look, they adorned the entire table with stunning greenery and light colored floral, along with varying heights of pillar candles.

The next part of the day was all about food and drink! The team set a unique food station overflowing with different Spanish tapas, and added lush greenery and Spanish tiles to finish off the look. They also created fun signature cocktails, the Don Quixote, La Valencia and Sangria, to go along with the theme. For those with a sweet tooth, they created two gorgeous wedding cakes; one was designed with fun Spanish tiles and the other was inspired by gorgeous Spanish lace! This was clearly the perfect food and drink station for our luxurious Spanish inspired shoot!

  • Succulent Love

The team combined rustic, vintage and bohemian elements to create the vibe for this shoot. Succulents were the first plant element they chose to emphasize the rustic, palette planters already found on the property. They accented the succulents with tropical flowers (ginger) and Australian native flowers (pincushion, protea, safari sunset) to add texture, as well as roses and eucalyptus to create a romantic feeling. The stationary brought out their pop colors or hot pink, orange and red and kept along with the succulent feeling. The table had elements of old and new with vintage as well as new china, gold gold flatware and vintage inspired goblets. The first dress used brought the more casual bohemian feeling, with the dress used for the ceremony being on the more formal side. The groom was also on the more casual side with a light gray suit and bow tie. They used a vintage inspired chandelier in the ceremony site. along with lush greenery and a pop of flowers to dress up the gazebo.
