Jessica and Davey’s wedding was a Big Fat Mexican and South
African Jewish wedding. All 3 of those cultures and traditions together
made for one BIG party! Knowing they were going to have such a big
wedding, they wanted to make sure to include details throughout the
wedding that would make the wedding personal and mean something to every
guest. For starters, it was not a wedding day-they made a wedding
weekend! They had events that started on Friday morning and went all the
way until the Monday “Hangover brunch” the day after the wedding. The couple
also wanted to make sure that the wedding showed both of their outgoing
personalities. Some of the things they did:
-They had a cute thank you note in every plate
-They had huge frames in which we made collages of photos with all of their
friends and family so they could find themselves in there
-They framed the email that they were introduced by
-Their guest book was a piece of wood that everyone would sign
-They had an entrance where each of the immediate family members came in
dancing to the song of their choice
-The father-daughter dance was played live and it was a song in Spanish
that the father of the bride wrote for her when she was born
-There were t-shirts made for the groom and all the men for the horah,
so they could sweat those and then put their nice shirt back on
-They gave out slippers with their initials on them so that people could put
them on when they were tired of dancing
-Instead of a wedding cake they had a “make your own ice cream sandwich
bar”
-They had a huge “junk bar” which is a candy bar with all Mexican
fruit/vegetables/candy
-Instead of a photo booth, they had a VW bus come in, and people would
take their photo in there

The pictures can tell the story better!
