Richard proposed on Sandra’s birthday and it was absolutly perfect. They were on top of the world. Unfortunately it all came crashing down when, less than two months later Sandra was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. She would face several procedures and a ten-hour surgery paired with an intense form of chemo. Thankfully the treatment was a success, but the recovery would be slow and painful. Richard was by her side at every turn. They had four months to plan a wedding while she was in and our of the hospital, so many suggest they pushed back their wedding date. But the couple were determined to make it work…and they did, one step at a time. It was the perfect day to cap off such an inspiring story!
