Simple. Elegant. Timeless. That was the compass Victoria and Evan followed when mapping out their destination wedding at Heiner Ranch, a stunning venue in Star Valley, Wyoming, where the focal point (besides the happy couple) was a historic red barn with endless character. The ranch was suggested by Evan’s mother, a frequent traveler to Wyoming. Once Victoria and Evan saw the venue in person, they “completely fell in love” with its Western charm and the incredible scenery. For the couple who met through friends at a farmers market, an outdoor wedding was a natural fit. They didn’t want anything complicated, and the ranch setting delivered. “[We wanted] a beautiful, natural celebration that fit the surroundings and allowed us to focus on the moment and the people we love,” Victoria explained. The couple worked with Heiner Ranch coordinator Olivia Heiner. She understood the assignment. Heiner knew the pair wanted a beautiful wedding that wasn’t overly formal — perfect for The Barn.

Victoria knew she wanted horses to be a part of her wedding, her favorite animal. Heiner suggested incorporating a white horse-drawn carriage into Victoria’s arrival. The special touch allowed Victoria and her dad to spend a few minutes together before the ceremony, a memory Victoria will forever cherish. “We were able to take a quiet ride together, soak in the moment, and talk before everything began, which made it even more meaningful,” she recalled.

From there, Victoria and Evan’s romantic ranch nuptials were all about sweet, personal details. Victoria wore a strapless, white satin A-line dress with white lace heels. For the reception, she changed into cowboy boots, naturally. She wore her mother’s pearl necklace as her “something borrowed,” a special way to have a piece of her mom with her on such an important day. Evan wore a timeless black tuxedo. Their bridesmaids wore light blue dresses that matched hints of the hue woven into the wedding decor, while the groomsmen wore tan suits.

Victoria’s favorite wedding details were the flowers, white and lush green arrangements with hints of soft blue. “I loved the idea of using them to enhance the natural beauty of the ranch,” she said.

Another personal touch included playing lots of Elvis during their wedding, because The King is Evan’s favorite artist. “His music fit the atmosphere of the wedding and added a fun, classic feel to the celebration,” Victoria noted.

For Heiner, her favorite detail from the couple’s big day was seeing how genuinely happy their guests were to be there. “From the bridal party to the grandparents, to the kids, everyone was so happy!” Heiner recalled. “It was fun to have them all at the ranch, celebrating a couple they all clearly loved so much.”

In the end, Victoria and Evan’s wedding was as easy and natural as their connection — a truly perfect way to start their forever.
