Seaside Spectacular

Alexis + William

Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal

Alexis and William’s love story was destined in the stars, and it is this magic that they shared with cherished loved ones during their spectacular wedding weekend in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. On 11-11, the couple, who originally met as colleagues, exchanged vows during an intimate ceremony at the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal, overlooking the Pacific Ocean and with the cliffs of Pedregal above. The event was pristinely captured by Romana Lilac and Mariano Arias of LA76 Photography and coordinated by Romina Torres of Del Cabo Weddings.

The design theme was romantic and earthy, with pink as the color palette. The ceremony site was adorned with hot pink bougainvillea and arrangements of pink ranunculus, garden roses, lisianthus and nerine, expertly crafted by Yamile Bulos of Aria Vera Flora, which flanked a handcrafted welcome sign. Guests were greeted with a glass of Ruinart champagne and entertained by Luciano Pavan and his string quartet.

The bride was ethereal; her Amelia gown, designed by Rish, was glamourous with sequin embellishments, a plunging neckline, and a long, dramatic train. Her Nana Jacqueline shoes matched to perfection, and she carried a bouquet fashioned from the floral of the day. The groom wore a Knot Standard midnight blue tuxedo and Christian Louboutin loafers. With William’s uncle as their officiant, the couple shared personal vows that evoked both tears and laughter from their guests.

The reception was held at El Farallon at the Waldorf Astoria, a striking cliffside location with waves crashing below. The lovely wooden head and guest tables overlooked the ocean and were exquisitely adorned with lush tablescapes made with arrangements of the pink floral and accented with pomegranates and other bright produce and berries. Guests enjoyed canapês while listening to 80s pop and classic rock played by the string quartet during the cocktail reception and a multicourse dinner menu featuring surf and turf, as well as a variety of fresh, local seafood. Dessert was the original Waldorf Astoria red velvet cake.

The seaside evening was filled with memorable moments; immediately following the couple’s first dance, William surprised Alexis with a firework display. The couple and their guests danced the night away, enjoying hookahs, a cigar roller, and late night tacos. This was an affair to remember.
