Vibrant Vows

Mallory + Tony

Mallory and Tony’s wedding beautifully encapsulated their journey together, imbued with the vibrant colors and rich experiences of their travels through Spain, Italy, and France. Their love story, celebrated at Seagrove Park at L’Auberge Del Mar, was a heartfelt nod to the countless dates they enjoyed there, reflecting their desire to share the scenic beauty and joyful memories of San Diego with their guests. This setting, chosen for its stunning ocean views, was pivotal in creating an unforgettable experience for those coming from afar, including the United Kingdom. In homage to these adventures, the inclusion of citrus elements, particularly lemons, at the place settings and within the tablescapes served as a vibrant nod to their Mediterranean travels, beautifully integrating an essential visual element from their vacations into their wedding celebration.

JAPANESE FRIENDSHIP GARDEN

Katie + Bruno

Katie and Bruno held their stunning July 2023 wedding at the Japanese Friendship Garden, a jewel hidden inside San Diego’s historic Balboa Park. Amidst the Garden’s verdant backdrop, the couple exchanged their vows and celebrated with beloved family and friends in an environment that married modern sophistication with classic beauty. A color palette of lush greens and soft whites created a romantic ambience that set the stage for a dream day skillfully coordinated by Marina Miller of the Japanese Friendship Garden, assisted by Kiss Sweet Events.

An Expression of Affection

Julia + Jeff

The wedding of Julia and Jeff was a celebration of love styled in a theme of quiet luxury. The breathtaking ceremony took place at St. James by– the- Sea Episcopal Church, followed by dinner and dancing at the historic La Jolla Woman’s Club.

The couple’s design inspiration stemmed from a variety of influences. A love of the ocean and garden. An appreciation for the juxtaposition of casual and elegant. An admiration for the style of iconic designers, such as Ralph Lauren. With an eye on marrying classic tradition with hints of glamour, Julia and Jeff partnered with acclaimed event planner Heather Balliet of Amorology Weddings to build on an aesthetic that was authentic to their interests.

An Enchanted Celebration

ESTANCIA LA JOLLA HO TEL & SPA

Hope + Julian

Ivy wreaths and fall florals in hues of peach, ruby and buttery yellow adorned tabletops; midnight blue and gold accents were echoed in sapphire and gold glassware and cutlery; patterned textiles draped over the backs of chairs provided texture; and candles, staggered in height, illuminated the lavish table scape from below, while Moroccan lanterns cast a lacy light from above.

For Hope and Julian Scott, their wedding “was a rich tapestry of details: the beautiful florals; the amazing rustic reception tables; the sumptuous place settings and menus; our gorgeous wedding cake, the beautiful flamenco guitar,” the bride said. “It was a feast for the senses.”

Whimsical and White

Grace + Alex

Grace had no idea that a springtime getaway to New York with a few friends and family would end up being one of the most important and romantic events of her life. Alex had planned on proposing to Grace on their last day amidst the beautiful and scenic Central Park. Walking through winding paths and sunlit gardens, Grace and Alex were suddenly all alone, just as planned. As the couple continued, they made their way nearby a charming little pond and an old wooden bench constructed from knotted oak branches, where Alex got down on one knee and proposed. Grace shares, “I love that he chose Central Park, as it will always be a place where we can visit forever.”

The couple desired a wedding celebration that reflected their love story…romantic, classic, elegant, and everlasting. Imagine a whimsical wedding of white florals and greens, cascading crystal lanterns, and twinkling lights under a starlit sky.

FAIRMONT GRAND DEL MAR

Angel + Jacob

Under the California sun, amidst the luxury of the Fairmont Grand Del Mar, a love story unfolded where richness permeated every corner. This Italian wedding brought warmth and a zest for life, as loved ones gathered to celebrate the union of two hearts. This was the bride’s dream come true, saying “I do” at this magnificent venue.

The air shimmered with romance. Extravagant floral arrangements, the soulful melody of a violinist, the smooth sounds of saxophones, and live music set the mood perfectly.

A touch of elegance flowed throughout the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. It was a beautiful tapestry woven with black and white, accented by luxurious velvet green and touches of gold.
