From Ashley “So we met in high school in Colorado. He joined the Marine Corps and got stationed here so I followed him and went to college. He proposed to me under a candle lit gazebo in a park by the coronado hotel. He had my roommates pick me up from work for a “girls night” and we started walking toward the hotel. We walked through the park and my favorite song was playing from the gazebo then he walked from behind the gazebo with flowers in his uniform and proposed. It was the sweetest proposal and he couldn’t have made it more perfect. We started planning the wedding right away and after lots of touring I found lake oak meadows. It was so beautiful and it was the perfect place to have our wedding. I never imagined we would have an extravagant wedding but when I saw the place I knew it was meant to be. I planned the wedding mostly bymyself because he was on deployment. He got back about two months before the wedding. My grandma made all the bouquets and the flower girls outfit. Almost everyone at the wedding was from Colorado so they all had a nice little vacation from the cold. The wedding was perfect and we danced all night long. Since we got married he has been the most amazing husband. He’s patient, kind, and he still can’t dance or fold towels right! We have a beautiful life and perfectly imperfect marriage. I couldn’t ask for a better husband and I think he might still like me a little bit haha”
