Laurie and Jason live in Hawaii but their friends and family
live on the mainland across the US. Instead of having people pay to fly
to Hawaii, they brought Hawaii to San Diego.The couple filled their day with
tropical and Hawaiian touches from doing lei exchanges and traditional
Hawaiian blessings, to having colorful tropical flowers all over, and
for their first dance they surprised everyone with a hula they worked on for
several months with a distinguished hula teacher in Hawaii. The couple’s guests
enjoyed the fireworks from Sea World and it reminded them of the fireworks
we see each week from Waikiki. San Diego was the closest they could get
to Hawaii so they took it!
