As much fun as it is to pick out flowers and taste so many yummy cakes, another important part of picking wedding vendors is your beauty vendors. Hair stylists and makeup artists love to help create the perfect look for you. Make sure to have your questions ready to go before you meet so you are prepared for your appointment.

1. Tell me about your background, how long have you been doing weddings? Do you have a portfolio I could check out?
You want to talk about their past work to see if they’re experienced with weddings and what their style is like. Most beauty professionals who have experience can do just about anything. This will also help you get to know them and their style.

2. Will you do a trial run before the day of?
This question is
important for two reasons. First you want to make sure you like their
style, how it looks on you, and if it will mesh with the rest of your
wedding. Secondly, you want to see if you and the beauty professional
work well together. These professionals will be with you up until right
before you walk down the aisle so you want to make sure you get along
and they’ll be a nice addition to your day.

3.  Do you come on site or is it in a salon? This question is
entirely up to preference. Some brides want to feel pampered in a salon
while others would prefer to be on site at the venue, so they are
available if needed.

4. How long does it take for each girl?
In order to plan the day properly, you want to allow enough time for you and your bridesmaids to not be rushed so the day can go according to schedule.

5. How much do you charge? Are there any day of charges I should be aware of?
You want to line this up in advance so you both agree on a price, and so you aren’t surprised by any day of charges.
