Ask Abby: How Do I Make the Most of My Budget?

By sdwedding

The average wedding in America today costs around $30,000. Now this number is just an average and you can spend as much or as little as you want on your wedding! If you are on a budget, the first step is to figure out what exactly your budget is. Are you set on $15,000? Or do you have wiggle room up to $20,000? Get together with your fiance and your parents if they’re helping out with the costs and mutually agree on an overall number.

From there, you can take a look at what you want at your wedding and start making individual budgets for photographers, venues, cakes, your dress, catering, flowers, etc.

Most wedding vendors understand that many brides do have a budget and are more than happy to work with you! You can set up individual meetings and get quotes from multiple vendors in order to figure out who and what best suit your budget!

In the end, you can still have the amazing wedding that you always dreamed of. It takes some extra time but it’s worth it for one of the best days of your life!
