Inspiration Thursday: Ranch Regality

The inspiration the team had was to do something opposite of rustic or vintage – more elegant and refined, but with a twist.  Fun and a touch whimsical.  Kate Spade was the first thought that came to mind.  Champagne and confetti, gold polka dots, stripes and classic pearls.  A punch of vibrant color. We love the combination of navy and coral together for this shoot and they wanted preppy navy stripes but not so much that it took a turn towards nautical. Soiree Design did such a great job with the florals in different shades of peach and coral and pops of dark blue.  The striped navy bow on the bouquet was a darling touch to tie in with the chair sashes she provided. The centerpiece design was lush with elegant simplicity.

One of our favorite aspects of the shoot was the bridal gown.  Not only is Jaime Elyse a talented gown designer and generous professional, she has now achieved rock star status and we couldn’t be more honored to work alongside a local celebrity! This exact gown made its debut on the runway at New York’s Fashion Week on September 10th of 2015! We were beyond excited when she let me use it in the shoot well in advance of the show.  If you look closely at it, the fabric itself has stripes in it so it tied in nicely with the design. Domenica created the perfectly chic and timeless look for our bride and made those blue eyes just mesmerizing!

It was a nice addition to include the rich wood table from Rustic Urban Events.  It complemented the warm earthy tones of the venue itself and it was still a polished enough piece that was able to frame the more sophisticated décor. Jake Duke’s collection of eye-catching vases, gorgeous clear plates and glassware completed the look.  Truly Madly Sweetly Bake Shop contributed more fun to the design with their simple and sweet gold polka dot cake and Michelle Garibay added the “XO” cake topper to tie in with the stemware tags on the tables. Paper Villa tied all of the details together with their gold foil confetti invitation suite and paper detail.  We loved the pop of coral for the reply envelope.

Any, shoot (or wedding!) cannot be done any justice without a talented photographer behind the lens, in this case, the dynamic duo of Leah and Marcella of Leah Marie Photography. They are gifted, amazing professionals!
