7/8” ribbon – we used white grosgrain ( Michael’s, Shinoda or fabric stores)
¾” wedding buckles – we used rhinestone circles (Online is your best source for larger quantities)
Sticky back Velcro ¾” – (Craft or office supply stores)
Cut the ribbon into strips. You will need 5”-7” of ribbon
for each napkin ring depending on how tightly you want the ring to hold the
napkin. The shorter the ribbon length, the tighter the hold on the napkin. The
finish is nicer and fraying is minimized if you use pinking shears (scissors
with a sawtooth blade-) for the cutting.
Slide the wedding buckle onto the ribbon.
Cut a small piece of Velcro. Remove the backing from both
sides of the Velcro. Place the soft side of the Velcro on the left edge of the
ribbon while the ribbon is facing up.
Turn the ribbon over and place the rough side of the Velcro
on the right edge of the ribbon. You should now be able to attach the Velcro
pieces together and form a circle. Your napkin ring is now complete.
