In a cosmic moment on August 9, 2008, childhood dreams of princes, fairytales and happily ever after came true. Suddenly we realized there are only two moments in our lives in which all of one’s parts are brought together and people are allowed to see their loved one in the context of their whole: weddings and funerals. Waiting for the latter is too late. We were blessed to have all our loved ones by our side to witness and experience the day we’d waited for our entire lives, the day we once resigned to never having and the one that seemed to take forever to arrive. Still it seemed to come too soon and was over way too quick. The day we became Randy and Brian Hope van de Mark – our wedding day – truly was majestic.
